BBNA Mentorship Program

BBNA’s mentorship program is a collaborative learning relationship between professional nurses and nursing students in the Birmingham area. Increasing the number of students graduating from the nursing profession is the goal of the program.
Encouragement, scholarship assistance, career counseling, and academic tutoring are offered to nursing students in associate degree and baccalaureate nursing programs.
Monthly meetings, informal contacts with mentors, and networking are ongoing components. Students have the opportunity for professional growth and development through involvement in BBNA-provided activities and through interactions with nurses from diverse employment areas and varied nursing careers.
